I'm Naphysa Idris of UZOZA Signature, participated in the first ever AMUF! I must say it was exciting,inspiring,interactive,challenging and fun on so many levels. Thanks for organizing the first-ever Abuja Make Up Fair. It was indeed an amazing event and our business was exposed to the relevant crowd. 

 

 My suggestions:

 

I, however, observed that the participants in the Spa and Wellness category were rather few and the set up of the hall limited our exposure to the crowd of the event, because by the time people got to us, they were already worn out from going around the other stands.

 

Also, I suggest that the Fair runs for a period of 2-days to draw more crowd via word-of-mouth and allow the visitors the opportunity to take advantage of the discounted prices during the fair.

 

I know this was just the first one and some lets-wait-and-see kind of people will definitely rush for space during the next one.

I use this medium to make an advanced reservation for 2 spaces- one in the same Spa and Wellness category I participated in and another in the food section (sorry, I'm a business woman too.lol).

For the next one, we will actually set up a mini-spa with free massages and facials.

 

Overall, the organization was wonderful and  I wish you a more-resounding success in the next one.

I found the makeup fair a very innovative one. The location at the heart of the city made it easily accessible with the attendance quite impressive for a maiden edition. With so many beauty products on display, it was easy to get overwhelmed and excited at the same time. Offering discounted specials and unique products, it was easy to lure professionals and novices (like me!)  into adding the much needed beauty items for our makeup kits. From lip balms and glosses to shimmery eye shadow palettes, the array of brands under one roof was outstanding. The only oversight was that some makeup tools for sale seemed to be lacking, I searched for an eyebrow pencil sharpener and had no luck finding one. Display stands that stood out included Brushstrokez, Naturezone & Decadent Treats”.

Very well organised for a premier event and i was happy to see alot of upcoming local brands....i was really interested in the natural hair products but found them a bit expensive....wld've preferred to have sample sizes available to try out and repurchase in the larger size if these products work for me....regardless I had a good time and look forward to the next event

The Makeup Show was not just about playing with new beauty products. The event allowed emerging makeup artists to enhance their skills and visibility. Some artists invited bystanders into their areas to recreate looks. With the food & drink corner is was easy to spend the whole afternoon there, chatting with old friends and upgrading the contents of our makeup bags.  The makeup runway show was very capturing though I’m not sure if was right for the fair as most people were engaged in other activities. I applaud the organisers and suggest the fair comes to town more often!”

I'm lost for words trying to describe my experience at The Abuja MakeUp Fair. It was an event that did not look like a maiden edition. The turn out was impressive and every participant was glad they used this event to showcase their products. Pops Concepts did a total packaging which made even the men that accompanied their ladies to the event, not to be left out. 2 thumbs up!
